Shall we get started?
Ingredients:
- 100 Perilla leaves
- 1½ TBSP gochugaru
- 4-5 TBSP soy sauce
- 4-5 TBSP fish sauce
- 2 TBSP minced garlic
- 2 TBSP Asian plum extract
- 3 TBSP water
- ½ cup sliced green onions
- 1 TBSP sesame oil
- Sesame seeds
How to Make:
- 1. Give perilla leaves a thorough wash.
- 2. For the sauce, add gochugaru, soy sauce, fish sauce, minced garlic, Asian plum extract, water, green onions, sesame oil, and some sesame seeds in a bowl and mix.
- 3. In a container, add a little bit of the sauce mixture. Then, stack leaf by leaf and keep adding the sauce in between the leaves.
- 4. If you prefer the sauce less salty, you can always add more water or sugar/honey.
- 5. You can eat it right away or refrigerate for a few days!
