Kimbap (traditional)
Shall we get started?
Ingredients:
- Seaweed sheets
- Steamed rice
- Egg omelette strips
- Stir fried fish cake strips
- Imitation crab meat
- Spam or sausage
- Blanched, seasoned spinach
- Soy braised burdock root (you can get this at any Korean market!)
- Shredded carrot
- Korean yellow pickled radish
How to Make:
- 1. On a sheet of dried seaweed, spread a handful of steamed rice so that ⅔ of the seaweed is covered with rice.
- 2. Add ingredients of your choice (prepare your ingredients in strips) on the rice and carefully roll the kimbap. Cut into desired thickness.
- 3. You can always improvise your ingredients – kimchi tuna, tuna mayo, bulgogi, shrimp tempura, etc.
- 4. ENJOY!
