Shall we get started?

Ingredients:

  • 2 strips thick-cut pork belly
  • 2 TBSP doenjang (Korean soybean paste)
  • 1 green onion
  • ½ onion
  • 5-6 garlic cloves
  • Ginger
  • 2-3 bay leaves
  • Whole black pepper
  • ½ TBSP instant coffee
  • Mirin

How to Make:

  • 1. In a pot of water, add doenjang, green onion, onion, garlic cloves, ginger, bay leaves, whole black pepper, instant coffee, and mirin. Bring it to a boil.
  • 2. When it’s boiling, put two strips of pork belly and cook them for an hour.
  • 3. Take the pork belly out and slice it.
  • 4. You can eat it with salted cabbage kimchi, spicy pickled radish, perilla leaves, etc.
  • 5. ENJOY!
